K Town Bar and Grill is a public house and restaurant in the heart of Killarney. K Town came to Digidude in need of a website redesign, a refreshed approached to their online offering and a partner to work with on numerous levels including digital marketing, website administration and online ordering control. K-Town wanted a website that would establish trust with current and future visitors. The importance of having a strong and meaningful online presence was recognised at the outset, and work began with this in mind. Most importantly, K-Town sought to have a full solution which would become a sales-ready website and online ordering machine as they ramped up their internet marketing efforts in tandem. Their view was that all elements had to be in place to implement their strategies.
The centerpiece of the digital campaign was an overhaul of the brand’s website, which went live in September. The redesign focused on making the site usable for customers with clear call to action to maximise the revenue from traffic. It was also important to K-Town that the website looked beautiful on mobile and tablet platforms, so it was created to be fully responsive to whatever it is being viewed on. This has enabled K-Town to market towards a far broader catchment group, including commuters and more casual web users; orders from mobile devices have increased dramatically for the group as a result.
Significant efforts were made to improve the brand’s online visibility, findability and accuracy in search engine results. “Analysts combed through listings on dozens of directory listings for K-Town's location, verifying details for accuracy and making updates where needed. The Google algorithm prizes correct, consistent local information” O'Neill explained. The payoff for the tedious process – analysts had to review an estimated 1500 or more records – improved organic search results for a brand, and a click-through rate (CTR) of 3.75 percent, well above the restaurant industry average of 0.1 percent. Digidude also supplied advice and expertise to K-Town when dealing with all aspects of social media and Google advertising. Directed AdWords and smart strategies were developed to ensure maximum visibility at times when that is most important for the group. This has shown impressive results and is helping the company to continually grow its loyal customer base.
